Mark Aaron Salcedo is a versatile Filipino double bassist and electric bassist whose musical foundation in gospel has evolved into a dynamic and wide‑ranging performance career. Currently pursuing his Bachelor of Music in Music Education with an emphasis on Contrabass at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, he has quickly established himself as a promising young artist in orchestral, theatrical, and contemporary music settings.
As an orchestral performer, Mark is a member of the UST Symphony Orchestra and has played with esteemed ensembles such as the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, Filharmonika, Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra, Sinfonia Pilipinas, City Lights Symphony, Manila String Machine, and String Fusion. He is also part of Basso KwatRo, a bass ensemble showcasing the depth and versatility of the instrument. His ensemble work includes notable achievements such as winning 2nd Place at the Singapore International Band Festival.
Mark’s experience extends to the theater and pit orchestra scene, performing with the Lyric Opera of the Philippines, 9 Works Theatrical, and Newport World Resorts for productions such as Tosca, works by Francis Poulenc, Delia D., and Bagets: The Musical.
In the contemporary music world, he performs with 13th Blvd Band, Pintado, and serves as a session bassist for Star Magic, demonstrating his adaptability across genres. His commitment to music ministry and education is reflected in his work as faculty for the ACC Music Ministry and as faculty and arranger for the 4th Watch Symphony Orchestra.
With a growing portfolio of performances, collaborations, and teaching experience, Mark Aaron Salcedo continues to develop as a well‑rounded musician dedicated to excellence, artistry, and service through music.
