Vanessa Celestial is a distinguished Filipino artist, musician, and vocalist whose versatility and mastery of the trombone have made her a standout figure in the Philippine music scene. A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, she holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Trombone Performance.
A Grand Prize Winner of the 2015 NAMCYA Trombone Category C, Vanessa began her professional career at 19, performing in major musical productions such as Tarzan, Shrek the Musical, Addams Family, and Saturday Night Fever. Her artistry further flourished as a member of the prestigious AMP Big Band under Maestro Mel Villena, as well as groups like Brass Rosette, Glass Onion, and the Richard Poon Band—where her talent for singing was also discovered and nurtured.
Vanessa has proudly represented the Philippines in international performances across Korea, China, and Hong Kong under the Department of Tourism. She is also known for her appearances as a Tawag ng Tanghalan Spotlight Holder, showcasing her vocal prowess to a national audience.
Today, Vanessa continues to expand her craft as both a performer and educator, steadily carving her path toward her dream of becoming an internationally recognized artist.
